Balkazar grew from Taiwan’s Balkan and world-fusion community into an international live band with one clear purpose: make the audience part of the show.
The repertoire travels through Serbia and Eastern Europe, then collides happily with ska, reggae, rock, funk, Latin and whatever else keeps the room alive.

Urban Nomad / Urban Freakout lineups, Taiwan Ska Fest, the Daniel Pearl Music Festival, Taipei venue stages and repeat bookings at Celebration Canada—the Canadian Trade Office and Canadian Chamber of Commerce's official Taipei festival (2019, 2022 and 2026, 5,000–10,000 attendees). Taipei Times has covered the band, once calling it a “Balkan reggae-ska outfit.”
