About the band

The band.

We play songs from Serbia and across the Balkans, with electric guitar, horns, ska and rock mixed in. Over the years we've performed at Urban Nomad, Tiger Mountain Ramble, Taiwan Ska Fest, Daniel Pearl World Music Day, Taipei Veggie Fest, Celebration Canada, the Shilin Residence Chrysanthemum Show and other stages across Taiwan. Marko Djurasic

Marko is from Belgrade, Serbia. He sings and plays guitar in Balkazar, and also plays in Taipei garage-punk band Fuzzy Wall. He likes taking Balkan folk songs and finding new ways to play them on electric guitar.
